"Ooh, thank you! That makes sense, but I have little experience with Windows 7, and no way to test myself, so it's very useful to know."
Perhaps you only use Linux to develop games? If this is true, I want to tell you the good news: Linux entries will be accepted in the 4th BASIC Jam. Please read this:
Hello, sorry to bother you. Your website is excellent! No doubt. For example, a lot of useful articles about game tools are on this webpage: https://notimetoplay.org/engines/index.html
I like the above webpage very much. Thanks! I have read the article about the classic dialect BBC BASIC. In fact, there is a new software called AOZ Studio. AOZ BASIC is the modern version of another two classic dialects STOS BASIC and AMOS BASIC. I never use these two languages but they should be so well-known.
I don't know whether you will write a review about AOZ Studio. However, I look forward to your review about AOZ Studio. Perhaps this review will be very useful for many BASIC hobbyists.
Hello, since this game was made with SDLBasic, I have a question.
I see a very interesting discussion. Can you write a similar program in SDLBasic for comparison of the three programming languages? Thanks a lot! Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!
If someone can come up with a suitable benchmark, sure, but I'm not aware of any. The OP points at another forum thread that highlights the issues involved in making one. Maybe porting a game like Laser Sky Zero or Attack Vector: Cybersphere to other languages could give an idea. One is sprite-based, the other uses vector graphics, so they exercise different aspects. Also, each exercises the raw speed of Basic interpretation in different ways.
No, it's a graphical game for the desktop, but if you start it from a command prompt, you'll be able to see if it complains about something in particular, because that's where error messages normally go.

The following introduction makes AOZ BASIC look so attractive and interesting: https://retrogamecoders.com/aoz-studio-tutorial/

( The personal version is here: https://download.aoz.studio/ )
No offense, but this is starting to look like spam. There are better ways to contact me, you know.

Game won't start. I have Window 7 64
Damn. Can you please try to run it from a command prompt and see if there's an error message?
A command prompt? Is this a DOS game?

I already uninstalled it since it didn't work.
Sorry to hear that. I'd offer a refund, but you have to e-mail support for that.
